Black Seal was originally intended to be a black seal, representing the special seals of the Italian Army during World War II. Because this special forces uniform was all black, it was named Black Seal. Panerai, a watch brand originally founded in Florence, Italy, has always been one of the very important suppliers of the Italian Navy. Its Radiomir watch was designed for the Royal Italian Navy in 1938. The Radiomir with Black Seal is one of the early Radiomir watches.
Radiomir Black Seal watches have distinctive features: standard Radiomir case, 45mm diameter, small three-pin design, no calendar, black dial engraved on the dial. Today, Panerai has again launched the Black Seal watch Radiomir Black Seal Logo 45mm, numbered PAM380, at SIHH, Geneva 2011.
The PAM380 is equipped with the OP II manual winding movement, which drives this small three-hand watch with a diameter of 45mm to achieve the accuracy of the chronometer. OP II movement size is 16.5 legal minutes, 17 stone. With 56 hours of power reserve.
The watch’s classic Radiomir case is made of 316L steel and is water-resistant to 100m. Luminous scales (note not the sandwich dial) with black dial. At 12 o’clock, RADIOMIR BLACK SEAL is printed, which symbolizes the identity of this watch.
